Foreign Born are a Los Angeles-based indie rock group, whose lush, island tunes will make you feel like catching a wave across Rainbow beach, where the sun is a volleyball and the clouds are made of snow-cone.

Handsome Furs, Handsome Fashions

Alexei Perry is one half of the Handsome Furs, the stylish, beat-rific indie band she formed with husband Dan Boeckner (of Wolf Parade fame.) She's also a fashion icon -- check out her '50s swimwear-inspired romper (yes, that's a heart stitched on the butt), chandelier necklace, and day-glo bra -- only Perry could make half-undressed look adorable!

Are a lot of musicians known for being well-dressed and snappily-attired? Absolutely. But sometimes the fans coming to see them are just as impressive! Here are a couple faves from the past few months...

I've always been a fan of the Three 4 Tens psychedelphic sound, but unfortunately Saturday night's much buzzed-about show sold out before I could get it together (or get myself down to JBs) and evening plans defaulted to a bonfire in West Chester (no joke!) Luckily for me, hipster host Mr. DJ Deejay was on top of his game and recorded the whole event for posterity on Flickr.

Did we mention that Deejay has an eye for fashion?
