On the Street: 15th and Market, 4/18/07

When I spotted this young lady on 15th and Market we were both searching for something. I was searching for the entrance to the green line (obscurred by the construction) and she was seraching for a hot cup of tea. After shooting her photo I pointed her in the direction of La Colombe, but I was disoriented from my subway-searching, and the street sign on Market Street was off-kilter, and I'm afraid I pointed her the wrong way. I hope she found her cup of tea!

Feedshion: eye candy instant gratification

Feedshion is a self-updating page that constantly scrounges the newest shots from several different fashion blogs, Faceadelphia included.

Mildly addictive.

I'm not sure what's better on a rainy day: doubling your hoodies to stay warm, or the plethora of fresh treats at RTM.

Send us your photos! (+ shots from Popped Philly)

Ah, Philly. The city of brotherly love, it seems, never stops turning out fashionable and unique people for us to ogle over. Yet unfortunately, between school, work and various miscellaneous obligations, we are unable to attend and cover every event. (Yesterday, for example, I had an intramural soccer game and a friend's poetry reading at the very same time that Stinking Liz and Grandchildren were tearing up the Popped Fest.) To compensate, we regularly scour the Philly flickr pages, seeking fashionable shots from events passed. Yet the flickr circle is rather limited (or people still haven't gotten a hang of the whole "tagging" thing), and we have the feeling that there's a lot of Philly fashion we're still missing out on.

Thus, we implore you.

Do you have photos you'd like to see posted on Faceadelphia? E-mail them as an attachment to faceadelphia[@]gmail.com with "Face" in the subject line. Make sure to include when and where the photo was shot. (If you have a website or blog you'd like credited, please include that too.)

In the meantime, here's a shot from last night's show at The Avant Gentleman's Lodge, courtesy of Uwishunu. We call it modern hippie. (Check out the rest here.)

And cuz we can't resist a West Philly band, here's another shot from Katie L. Thompson of Make a Rising @ Johnny Brenda's on Monday night. It makes us want to go on a safari!
